Electric power drives industry, and its distribution depends on the contacts in switches, breakers and bolted joints. During World War II, high-stakes applications needed better electrical connections. A lineman wanted a silver contact surface that could be applied on the job, without a plating shop.
The answer, worked out in the family basement in 1944, was Cool-Amp: a powder that bonds silver to copper by hand. Alongside it, Conducto-Lube carries the same pure silver into contacts that move.
The basic principles of electricity haven't changed since then. Where they're applied has: from early telegraphy to substations, resistance welders, electric vehicles and data centers. Wherever current crosses a joint, the job is the same: less resistance, less heat, longer life.
Cool-Amp Conducto-Lube Co., Inc. is still family-owned and operated and veteran-owned.
